Trausnitz Castle

Tower Terrace Room (room 27)

Picture: Tower Terrace Room

The wall panelling, coffered ceiling and typical Renaissance door frames date back to 1540, the period when the Duke Ludwig X of Bavaria resided at Trausnitz Castle.

The characteristic window seats a step up from floor level with a view of the town of Landshut and the high tower of St Martin are a reminder of the medieval origins of this room.
