Picture: Cabinet in the Italian Extension (First floor)

This cabinet was one of the rooms in the apartments of the ducal heir Wilhelm, who had it elaborately decorated in 1578. The vaulted ceiling, with stucco-work and paintings of allegorical themes, the ornate fireplace and the Italian Renaissance furniture are an indication of the rich appointments of the ducal apartments during the Renaissance.
